Hello, Old Man Winter?

Where’s the snow?!? To start I have to say that I am mighty jealous that the East has gotten two feet of snow and we haven’t even had a dusting to this point. Old man winter better kick it in gear.

The big news this week is that my cousin got traded from the D’backs to our hometown Brewers. It’s pretty exciting and this should lead to me going to a record amount of games this coming year. I know the Brewers aren’t the greatest team in the world but if anyone wants to go to the games this coming year I’m going to need the company. Other than that it was another boring week. Packers got a big win against the Bears, and I actually got a call back from a job so lets hope that things start to look up on the job front. Until next week.

Thanksgiving in the Midwest

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I went to Falls on Wednesday and had the usual drunkin’ hollerin’ time with all my Falls buddies. I did manage to avoid the dreaded Thanksgiving day hangover which is one of the worlds worst evils. Thanksgiving I got spend the whole day with my family and Jocelyn and we drank tons of wine. From there we went back came back to Milwaukee.

Saturday we went to Peoria and spent the weekend with Jocelyn’s family. The second we got into town we started drinking it up with Jocelyn’s dad at a German place called the Hoffbrau. It’s a great place with a great beer menu. They also have an around the world beer club where you can get your name on the wall if you drink 80 beers. It’s going to take a couple visits to Peoria before I manage to get that one. But when I do I will have my name on the wall in New York and Peoria for drinking lots of beer, what a life accomplishment.

Sunday we took it low key and played LIFE and Wilderness Trail, two very quality board games. Now I’m back and the job hunt continues. The start of the holidays is official, now Santa bring me a job!

I’m Thankful For This Week

My bachelor week is over and nothing got accomplished but a larger dent in the couch. But my lovely girlfriend is back so I guess I have to quit acting like a Neanderthal. This is one of the best weeks of the year, Thanksgiving week. I’ll be heading to Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday and to Peoria on Saturday so it’ll be another busy week. I figure due to the travel and visiting family I should be eating at least a small part of 6 different turkeys, now you know why I like Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great week.

Sheboygan Luv

Yes. One couldn’t ask for a better weekend. A big victory for the Badgers and the Packers stay alive beating Tampa. I wish more weekends were like this, they’ve been few and far between lately. This weekend I also headed up to Sheboygan for my cousin Angies wedding. It was a good time and I had a ton of fun hanging out with my aunts and uncles. From there I got hang out with all my old high school cronies and get the old five minute update on the last month of new news in Falls. I’ll be all by my little lonesome this week because Jocelyn is going to St. Thomas with her family so if anyone wants to come over and play the bachelor life, feel free. Also if you commit any crimes and need a hideout until Sunday you can do that too, but you’re going to have to find a new place to hide on Sunday night. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

The Journal Begins

Hello everyone. In hopes of getting a more up-to-date website I have made a change to the main page of iRau. This new page is a little journal section that I plan on updating at least once a week. The way I have it set up now is much easier to add content to the site so expect updates at least once a week. Now that I have that out of the way let’s get to the journal portion. For those of you that I haven’t talked to in a while I AM STILL unemployed. It’s starting to get a little frustrating now that I can’t get responses from jobs that only require a GED… I have a GED. Oh well… the search contines. My writing skills are a little rusty as I have been dormant in the composition field but I’m sure they will get better with each additional entry so check back often. I’ll talk to you again in the beginning of next week. I have a wedding in Sheboygan this weekend so those of you heading to Madison, “”Go Badgers!”” Take care.
