It could have been the torrential rain or the clientele of the night. I have frequented hundreds of dive bars and have a handful of them I have and do call my home but I didn't feel the dank, musty love that I usually get from a good hole in the wall. I'm not opposed to trying it out again and will give it another shot when I visit next year. Again, nothing personal, just an experience from a night in the islands. This spring/summer I was working on my distance running. Got up to 16 miles, and then I messed up my achilles tendon. It's been about two and a half months now that I haven't been able to run. Last weekend I thought I was finally getting close to trying it again, but then I had to run a block to catch a bus and that was enough to annoy it. So still no running for me. It also managed to kill most of the summer backpacking season for me. Hopefully we don't have too much longer in recovery. I’m with ya on the disappointment of not being able to run.
